Another Gallbladder episode but this one has a happy ending...

It started Thursday early early AM when I was once again awakened by that familiar pain in my upper right abdomen.  I took something to deal with the pain and went back to sleep; this did not last long and I spent the next few hours waiting for the pain to be enough  to go to emergency, around 5AM I called the cab and was off.

I was seen immediately and given some of the good pain killers blood work done ho apparent infection or other issues so I was home by 7:30 AM feeling pretty good but in no shape to drive or work; in fact, the emerg doc gave me a direct order and a note not to work until Monday and to get my rest.

a couple of hours later I had the pain back again but not as bad, I managed an afternoon appointment with my GP and once again called on our friend Tom to be driver.  Tom brought me to my GP and I hinted that there was likely another stop I'd need him for.  I saw the doctor for a couple of minutes he looked me over wrote me a note and told me to give it to the emergency admissions person.  I did and was checked in right away.  Long story short I was admitted to the hospital with a badly infected gallbladder that had to be removed.  This was Thursday early evening and late last night (Saturday) I was under the gas and the knife, what a relief>?  I am home now and aside from the obvious discomfort of surgery I am feeling better, I'll take the time off work that they recommended and recover!

I am home and I am well!
